Softmat has been designed for use under laminate and manufactured hardwood flooring. This system has a foil heat exchanger for even distribution of heat through the floor surface.

When using Cosytoes® Softmat it is important to also install Softmat Underlay onto the floor prior to laying Softmat. Softmat Underlay is a 6mm thick Depron Foam board that is laid out and closely fitted over the entire floor area. The thin heating cables bed into the underlay with the foil heat exchanger uppermost. The flooring is then installed.
